Three-Fold Goals
of
a
Family
1. The family provides us in body and mind with the necessities for an ordered daily life or family life.
-The family allows man to live in communion with other men. Through living together in a family, the natural bonds of flesh and blood are strengthened by the bonds of the love that gives life to its member. Every member of the family is given through an ordered daily life an opportunity to give and receive acts of service, hope, and faith. The family is helped in this exercise by a continual recourse to the source of life and love---- God. |
2. The family provides for the procreation and education of children.
-The family is oriented towards the procreation and education of children. The family is the source of future human beings. Man and woman live together in the hope of bringing children into this world. Every married couple must then make sure that the natural process of human life is conceived is not blocked nor impeded by artificial means. Every father and mother should also work towards giving their children the opportunity to grow and mature into capable and lovable members of the society. |
3. The family contributes to the development of the society.
-Through this activity of procreation and education, the family contributes to the development of society. A society can change for the better only if the members who all belong to a specific family do and become what they should be as brother, sister, mother, father, daughter, or son. |
